Cut Flower Care

Caring for your cut flowers

These tips will ensure your flowers last long and look beautiful!

1. Place your flower in a clean container that is sanitized and free of debris. This will prevent premature aging and ensure better water intake.

2. Cut about half an inch off the stems before placing them in water using clean and sharp scissors or pruners. Refill the container with water when it gets low, especially in the first couple of days, as the flowers are very thirsty.

3. Strip any foliage that sits below the water line to prevent it from rotting and affecting the flowers. Avoid direct sunlight and heat as it will shorten the vase life.

4. Keep fresh flowers away from ripening fruits like bananas or apples, as the release of ethylene can wilt them.

5. Refresh the water every 2-3 days and re-cut the stems when doing so to expose fresh tissue. Use flower food and preservative to keep them fresher for longer.

6. Enjoy!!
